How to get here
The Ajuda Palace is located at the top of Calçada da Ajuda, the street that connects the Ajuda area to Belém. Parking is easy in the vicinity, particularly in Largo da Torre, two minutes from the Palace.
The visit lasts, approximately, 1 hour and 45 minutes
Ticket: €15.00
Discounted ticket [50%]: visitors aged 65 or over; and between 13 and 24 years old (including) and families, considering one adult and one minor.
Discounts are granted upon presentation of the corresponding official document at the ticket offices or validation points.
Free ticket:
- Residents of Portugal can access 37 museums, monuments and palaces free of charge 52 days a year, any day of the week, upon presentation of their Citizen Card (more information here Order No. 13793/2024, of 21 November)
- Children and young people up to and including 12 years of age
- Unemployed visitors residing in the European Union
- Discounted ticket [50%]: visitors aged 65 or over; and between 13 and 24 years old (including) and families, considering one adult and one minor.
- Discounts are granted upon presentation of the corresponding official document at the ticket offices or validation points.
- Visitors with proven disability (>60%) and accompanying person
- Former combatants or surviving spouses of former combatants, holders of the cards referred to in the Former Combatant Statute
- Teachers and students in higher education, including senior universities and accredited vocational training institutions, when proven to be on a study visit*
- Professionals in the museology and heritage sector, in the exercise of their duties*
- Employees, volunteers and interns of Museus e Monumentos de Portugal, E.P.E. and accompanying persons
- Members of the Friends of Museums, Monuments and Palaces Groups under the supervision of Museus e Monumentos de Portugal, E.P.E.
- Members of ICOM, ICOMOS, APOM and employees of bodies under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture
- Tourism or media professionals performing their duties
- Groups with proven financial hardship*

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF USE BY GUIDES
The admission of Guides to the areas open to visitors in the performance of their duties is subject to:
1. Compliance with the instructions of the staff of the Ajuda National Palace and the signage in each location, in particular warnings, danger signs and restricted access signs;
2. A maximum limit of 30 visitors per guide;
3. Mandatory use of a radio guide system for groups with more than 10 visitors per guide in all indoor spaces;
4. No breaks during the tour;
5. The adoption of the necessary measures to ensure good conditions of circulation in each location and to avoid behavior that disturbs other users of the spaces;
6. Compliance with the regulations established by the Ajuda National Palace.
These rules and conditions come into force on 15 July 2024.
